Activities 2012

Breakfast - Feb 4, 2012

Clouds didn't stop record numbers of members and LBCs from showing up for breakfast at the Golden Corral on Forest Drive Saturday Feb. 4. The final count was strengthened with the arrival of 5 or 6 cars from the Mini club.

We had two gest speakers. John Banks of the Columbia Speedway painted an exciting preview of the upcoming Tartan Day South event of which our car show will be a part (check out the Tartan Day South flyer link on CBC-VI page). George Chace shared a few touching recollections of his and his wife Sandra's missionary work in Romania and Mozambique fitting eyeglasses for people who had never had glasses before.

Dave Headrick encouraged members to register for our car show with a raffle for a $20 Regalia gift certificate. Almost twenty members registered Saturday and the raffle was won by our president, Walt Brown.

Two new members were present, Jim and Maryanne Atkison, sponsored by Mike Eckhart. Maryanne has a red Mini Cooper S convertible.

Breakfast - January 7, 2012

The temperature was chilly but a beautifue blue sky must have encouraged members to come to breakfast as we had a good size crowd of about 50 people and 15 LBCs at the Golden Corral on Forest Drive
